Drunk Glasses

at school today we had "life learning" and our nurse bobby taught the class today and she gave us all a pair of these glasses and they were to simulate wat it was like to be drunk and it was so cool after we put the glasses on we had to walk over to our shed and then when we were in the shed we had to walk on a straight line and hive 5 people as we went i fell over a few times and then we had to catch a ball being thrown at us i dropped it MAN it was so cool we had to wear the glasses for the rest of the day and everyone waz falling over and running into stuff it was so much fun! has anyone else tryed these glasses before?

Ahh x.x I hate those things!

They had us put those on and try to catch a quarter that was thrown at us in Driver's Ed. A lot of the party kids caught them xP I missed mine.

Hah! I want to try too, want to feel what it's like being drunk.

I'm clumsy and have bad reflexes so if I tried those things I would fall on my face, glasses or no glasses.

So it wouldn't be a difference...

The glasses upset your sense of balance and focus - but it is only one part of what it is really like to be drunk - so it seems like fun, but it doesn't make you slur your words, say extremely stupid / ignorant / embarassing things to friends and total strangers, reduce your ability to control your arms, hands, legs ... and bladder .

I guess the headache that you can get is a little like being drunk, but without the nausea...

Nice idea, but no where near the real thing.

You can get similar effects by borrow someone elses specs and trying them on

Agreed. Those glasses are more like the after effects of getting hit in the face with a bat rather than being drunk.

Our school did that last year for D.A.R.E.

I was too chicken to try it out. xD

People had to sit on a scooter and go around the benches in our cafeteria. Then they had to catch balls that were being thrown at them. It was fun to watch. :]

We done that in health class. We had to walk across a line. I done it pretty well, I didn't see that much of a difference. It just looked blurry.

Maybe that's 'cause I have glasses and I'm used to seeing real bad without them.

Ohhhh. xD. We did that in the 6th grade, man I thought I could control myself being drunk but that was a big nono. When I wore those glasses everything was moving, I couldn't walk, I was wobbley, I couldn't walk straight, I was confuse, I couldn't think straight, and everything I saw was a yellowish blur.

Cool, I wish I could wear those again, it was fun yet challenging. We did that in a class called "Character Ed". I was sorta happy to take them off. x.x
