I have a connection 2024 and i got the cake using the code, i gave it to my tamagotchi (a Hikotchi) and only increased his happiness by 1 heart, just as any free snack.

What's the point of the cake and all those foods that aren't anyone's favorites?

maybe for people who like cake/whichever food and want to share it with their tamagotchi? or for a safe item to gift to others?

I think maybe the cake can have a effect on specifics dates like your birthday or christmas (because can only appear in the shop on christmas acording to the wiki), just as a theory

But maybe you are right… roleplay and safe gifts are two valid uses, maybe that’s all...
