easter is a day 4 Jesus when he came back from the dead after 3 days in a gave. look up mattew 28:1 in a bible.if you do not have one look up on the internet.

I was baptised, when I was a baby. [i really hope being baptised is being christened after saying that..]

What I don't understand is why do we get eggs then?

oh sorry but all the candy makes people forget what it is really about.

Easter is the day Jesus rose from the dead. Good Friday is the day he was crucified.

They actually have stuff about the eggs and bunny on yahoo news right now. The Easter bunny appearently came from pagen traditions of their spring holiday, and the bunny symbolized fertility and springtime. The Christians later adopted the easter bunny as a symbol, for reasons I don't know.

To very religious Christians, Easter is more important than Christmas. It does have more historical signifigance anyways. Christmas is just more commercialized, like all holidays in this time.

I was baptized when I was a baby, and that was the first and only time I've ever been to Church.

Some people say that you are 'Christian' just because you got babtised, but if your talking about Christian as in believing the whole Bible, the babtism is not what saves you or make you Christian.

Same thing with church- walking into a church doesn't make you anymroe Christian than if you walked into a garage to be turned to a car.

Just doesn't work that way.

Only believing Jesus is the way.

Eggs? Hmm... I heard something about them but can't quite remember.

I'm pretty sure it does symbolize something but just don't know what.

Obviously I am a Christian with a direct line to God.

Doesn't being baptised take away the sins from Adam and Eve or something like that? I'm not really sure, that's what my brother told me. He used to go to Sunday school and read the Bible, but he likes to make things up a lot.

You know a lot about Christianity, so I'll ask you another question I've been wanting to know the answer to. Is there a difference between being baptised and being christiened?

All holidays were about something else, but now it's about candy and killing trees.

Yeah that's probably why my Mum got me christened. They weren't going to christen me because they had never seen my Mum or Dad in church - but they did christen me in the end. I used to go to sunday school when I was younger and church with brownies, but it wasn't really what I wanted when I grew a little older.

I don't know if theres a god or not - I suppose i'll find out when I die.
