Hi hi!
I received tama mail today, which was my Christmas gift to myself. I received a used Tamagotchi P1 (from 1996/1997)! I did also buy a Digimon X2 and Sumikko Gurashi Mikke...! I may possibly log those too but Sumikko will not be here until next week
Quick backstory: I got into tamas again with the re-release of the originals in 2018, because I had never owned the originals myself! My first tama was a tamagotchi connection V1, but I remember some people still had the originals when connections were popular, and I was always fascinated by all the vintage tamas.
Anyways, I heard repeatedly that the programming was different on the tamagotchi original remakes, making them easier to kill. They are so easy to kill with snacks it's just crazy. So, I wanted to try the original ones for myself...
So that's why I finally caved in and bought one! Mostly because I fell in love with the shell, as purple is my favourite colour.
The first thing I noticed is that button presses and even the animations are more "laggy" and "choppy" but it makes it charming and helps me slow down instead of rushing through animations.
Anyway, we will see how much easier it is to raise a tama to adult! (I accidentally overfed snacks already and accidentally disciplined too as a baby stage... oops)
Here are pics, I got to Marutchi tonight!
(It's strange, because the writing on the back is in english, but the meal/snack buttons are text instead of icons, just like a Japanese tama. I wonder if it is a European release? I attatched 2 extra pics to show)
