I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place here. 0_o I need some advice. Here 'goes...

Tomorrow is the 5th grade DARE concert. I enjoyed DARE itself, but singing... It's just not my thing. I'm kind of uncomfortable in front of large crowds. But they say it's really important to show up and do our best.

BUT... My best friend invited me to her brother's baseball game, the same day, the same time. I don't enjoy singing in concerts, but I DO enjoy baseball games. And she invited me two weeks ahead of time (The first time the game was rained out). My problem: I don't know which to go to.

They say it's really important to come to the concert tomorrow night, but I know I won't enjoy it. I would enjoy going to a baseball game, though. I don't know what I should do... It's not as easy making this decision as it sounds, trust me. I have no important roles in the concert at all; I'm just supposed to stand there and sing with everybody else. They also said that they would be "Greatly Disappointed" if even more students were unable to come. Any advice????

Why are you asking us for advice?

You don't like to sing, you like baseball games.

It's pretty clear which one you should choose. :\

I voted do whatever you're comfortable with. It's your choice... If you like baseball more than singing then enjoy yourself at the baseball game. Just do what makes you happy :]

If people say baseball game!I disagree!

I think a dare concert is more importanat!Only because if they want everyone singing in harmony, and the teacher thinks u r a good singer,u may need this!If u want to become a actor or whatever, this may make it happen! And if the whold school is counting on each other to go,u will disappoint everyone!U will have a other chance in life to go to a baseball game!

I say the baseball game because you enjoy baseball and you best friend asked you ages ago.

Why do something you don't enjoy?

Pretty obvious here. I think that you should go to the baseball game. I mean if you don't like to sing in front of a huge crowd then don't. It says that it's really important to go but it doesn't say that youhaveto go. So I think that if you like baseball and don't like singing in huge crowds just go to the baseball game. Also, your friends wants you to be there.

I think if you know you're not going to have a good time at the concert, go to the game. I didn't even go to my DARE graduation, but I also thought DARE was a huge waste of time.

I say do what you'd most prefer to do. It's your life, you should be able to make your own decisions.

Make sure your parents are fine with going to the game instead though. I know some parents are really anal about letting their kids skip school related events.

Yes, I know it sounded really obvious that I should go to the baseball game, but my friend (the one who invited to to go in the first place) is now on crutches because of a broken toe. Also, there's a huge chance of rain where I live, and even last week the game got rained out, like I said in my first post. So,: The game might be rained out, and Noel (the friend) might have to go get an x-ray again anyway.

I learned things in DARE, a lot of things that I'll probably be able to use later on... I already got a DARE t-shirt that PTO paid for, and I'm in the front row, being forced to smile at the crowd. I don't exactly see why you have to go to a DARE program and sing songs to graduate DARE.

Any more ideas???

I say the baseball game. It seems a lot more fun.

I don't like DARE. I wouldn't do anything that had to do with it. In my opinion, it doesn't help at all. I understand if you like it, but if you don't like to sing, really...

Matchy
