Connection V1 pause?

Hi all,

Doing a run with a v1 and I’m pressing A and B and pause doesn’t appear. Tried enough times for it to not be a mistake.

I can get it to work on my v2 and beyond. Was it added to the v1 or was the pause function only added when the v2 arrived?
