I don't have a clique anymore. I have to start fresh and make new friends.

Personally, I think the whole soup can thing is a really silly thing to be arguing about. I don't think it matters if it's not original, what matters is that people have the ability to make their points without being criticized. Who knows? Maybe they couldn't think of a better way to say it, and just said something they've heard many times before. Lots of people do that. No matter how original you are or think you are, there will always be times when you say something most people say or do something most people do. I don't know if that makes sense, but the point is, it's really not worth arguing about.
