can't make friends?

i just bought a second tamagotchi to be friends with my first one (both v3) but when i put them together and press the infrared buttons, it says standby but then nothing happens. why won't it work? one is an adult and one is a teen.

You have to press the button again when it says standby. Then it should say "connect." If this doesn't work, then read the instruction manual. Hope I helped!

i had that problem too...until i was trying to connect them for the 10000th time, and i accidentally pressed the button...and i thought i messed it up..and my tama flew into the other egg..LOL

Or... it might have be running out of batteres.

thank you! i wasn't pressing the button. now it made a friend. it is so great how they play together on one screen. brillliant! by the way i am 30 years old which is why i don't have any friends at school to use this with. haha.

I really am not sure...... if it happens a few more times you tamagotchi might be broken on OLD....

well connecting via infrared is exactly the thing that needs a lot of battery, but maybe u got old and/or bad batteries (buy somewhere else next time ?*g*)

Sometimes the battery that comes with the Tamagotchi is really short-lived. Buy a new CR2032 battery and insert it with the writing facing UP.
