Can't connect my two Tama-go's

i can't connect my Kuromemitchi with my shelltchi...is it somthing to do with age, buecuase one is age 2 atm while the other is age 6

Nothing to do with age. Make sure you're selecting the same thing on both; I think the two options are game and visit, right? Make sure you select the same thing on both.

When the heart screen pops up, press button B on one of them. Usually that's what people do wrong.

Are you doing all that?
