I don't know really what to tell ya' meobark.

You can always get them when you are older and you can afford them.

I would just say talk to your parents.

They are the ones that will pay for them if you get them now, so might as well talk right?

Teeth can straighten themselves!?!?!? I didnt know that...

When i had mine (about 3 years ago..for one year) It was free and i think my dentist appointments are still free :S. But somestimes you have to have something else done after you had braces like wearing a retainer when you go to bed or having a fixed one on the back - like mee. My boyfriend had braces too but when he got a retainer to wear when he went to bed he didn't wear it so they have gone a little wonky..so if you do pay do what the dentist saying! Considering you have to pay

Now i just have a wire on the top and bottom teeth to keep them in place - you cannot see it.

You should explain to them why you want braces or you could wait till you are old enough to pay for youself - Like someone else suggested.
