Ash Wednesday

Well, since today is Ash Wednesday, I was just wondering how many people 'celebrate'.

In my family, we get cross ashes and holy water at dinner. Oh yeah, nothing like the holy treatment!

So, what do you guys do on Ash Wednesday?

i dont have a fancy dinner but we do try and give somthing up for lent

We do lent too but we do the traditional "no meat on Friday" sacrafice.

I completely forgot that it was Shrove Tuesday yesterday... I was still celebrating the Lunar New Year - so I served up Pandan Cake (Banana Leaves sponge) instead of Pancakes... LOL

Normally I make a huge stack of Pancakes and then on Ash Wednesday we simply announce what (if anything) we intend to give up for lent.
