Hey guys. A few years ago, while disassembling my Tamagotchi v2 Plus, I broke a few things, mainly the IR port, Sound wire, and LCD screen. :< Considering that my Plus is the first ever Tama I got, way back in 2004, I'd like to fix all the stuff on it. So, does anyone know of a good repair guide for these things? I want to have my Tama working freshly again.

Onley thing i can say is buy one of the exact same kind and replase the parts. good luck!

That's not the problem, the parts are disconnected. And I would still need to know how to replace those parts.

I would say that for the IR port and the LCD screen, it would be best if you buy a new V2 and replace the old parts with the new parts, as the above poster stated. As for the sound wire, you need to solder the wire to the motherboard, which isn't difficult, just requires a little patience, care, and perhaps, an adult, if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. There is no official repair guide for Tamagotchis. Most of the time, it's just about experimentation, winging it, patience, and improvisation. Good luck! :p

I know this is a very late reply, but I figure if you were still interested I might as well tell you what I know. Just earlier today I fixed up my V3 tamagotchi that I've had for years now. I'm not sure exactly how you'd fix the LCD screen, but for the IR port and sound wire, it should be easy enough. All you need is a soldering tool (woodburning tools work as well). For the sound wire, carefully melt the little blob that is on the motherboard, make sure it doesnt melt into the one next to it, or the sound wont work. This is what happened to mine, but seeing as I barely was able to get the buttons and screen working properly I wasnt picky. If it does happen, you'll just have to carefully re-melt the blobs so they are two seperate entities again. Gently press the sound wire into the blob and blow on it so it hardens and cools quickly. If the wire disconnected on the other end, make sure the blob is somewhere on the metallic part of the circle. The IR port can be fixed the same way, but you might need to buy or find some soldering wire (the kind you melt to get those little blobs), and connect the IR port back to the main tama carefully again.
