Anime-Sub or Dub?

Though, sometimes for me it depends. I really disliked Matt's voice in the Japanese version, yet, I adored his english dub. The dub voice for him is oddly smexy.

Yeah. Sometimes that does get a bit irritating. Plus my eyes aren't that great either. Yeah, the first time I heard from Sai, he called Naruto a "d***less moron" or something like that. xD If the Shippudens were aired on Adult Swim,which isn't really meant for children in the first place,they could keep the cussing the Naruto fans have come to know and love,and not censor it out! I do like both. But I only watch subs if the tv is big or not too far away,my eyes don't comprehend stuff that's far away. It will be interesting to hear what Shippuden sounds like in English. That's one of the reasons I want to learn how to speak Japanese,then I don't have to read the subs.

Well they do have the Naruto uncut DVD's which are awesome if you want uncensored original fights, I saw some on YT. Ino was cheering Shikamaru on and was like "TAKE THAT B**** OUT SHIKAMARU!" And Naruto said some rather awesome stuff as well.

Subs are OK, depending on who does it

I didn't think that when they dubbed anime they put subs for the songs. That's what's really annoying (obviously the voices too) they don't translate any text or, in anything I've watched, opening theme lyrics. As for the voices plain annoying.

the only dubbed company that sucks is 4kids, i hate 4kids. Funmation rocks at dubbing cause they dont censor anything :3

Subs of course.

In Haruhi, Mikuru's english voice is way too soft and high. No normal human speaks like that. And same with Tsukasa and Miyuki in Lucky Star and Rena in Higurahsi.

Tokyo Mew Mew and Card Captor Sakura arn't even the same show in English!

Name and diolouge changes REALLY bother me!

And 4kids? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?

I do hear, however, hear that the Cowboy Bebop (or whatever it's called) English dub is very good. Perfect even. I don't watch it though, so I have no idea.

I am guilty, though, of watching a series dubbed the whole half way. Chobits. That was my first anime, so I just clicked whatever one and watched. It didn't bother me at all, but looking at the Japanese I relize that it's not so great of a dub, so I watched the second half in Japanese and it was better.

It's not just anime dubs that suck though. I have French Teletoon, and the dubs for Total Drama Island and 6teen really SUCK! There's one voice in TDI that's right on though, Geoff's. Also the name changes are pointless since English names are used for French people too...

But I have to say that dubs can be kinda, well...funny! Don't you evr watch an ep of an anime n English and laugh your head off because of the horibleness? If not, I reccomendyou do if you need a good laugh. 4kids dubs work best for this XD

Conclusion: Dubs are terrible (most of them), subs are best unless you are blind, in wich case you would have to watch a dub (if you don't now Japanese, that is). C'mon, it's not THAT hard to read!
