Anime-Sub or Dub?

Just wondering what you guys perfer to watch anime by. Personally, I perfer subs. Dubs, except for the Fruba one = Epic Fail. Actually, Epic CENSORED fail. I don't like it when anime is censored. =/ Its annoying.

And, I can never picture the characters with the voices that they do in english. Except for possibly Near and L. Whoever did the DN dub chose good voice actors for those two. But other than that, the voice actors = epic fail.

And, if the themesong is in Japanese, the dubs only give the english subtitles, not the japanese words as well, which you generally get to see in subs. :3

I agree with you 100%. I'd rather read the subtitles them have a retarded english voice dubbing over the dialogue.

That is why 4Kids is horrible when it comes to dubbing. xD They censor everything. @_@

I can never ever picture the person in the anime when they have a tacky english voice over. The voice 90% of time doesn't fit the person at all. Once you have seen the japanese subbed version of the show, then you hear the crappy dub, it almost makes me cry a little ;~;

In all anime's I love their original Japanese voices, rather then their crappy English ones. T_T

 

It's especially horrid when they pick terrible new voices that don't match the character at all! >:V

Or in Doki Doki School hours! > Voice overs are horrid in that anime.

Yet to be decided. Some just don't match the charactor well with dubs -coughLightcough-

But I usually watch on the comp... so with subs I can't multi-task =O

It depends on what I'm watching I guess. I actually like both. x) Like, the Naruto Part 1s, I first heard it dubbed,so now I'm used to that. But for the Shippudens,I prefer it subbed. Then again,I'm not even sure Shippuden has even been dubbed yet. If I'm more used to it subbed,I like it subbed,if I'm more used to it dubbed,I like it dubbed.

I would rather hear the dubbed version. I don't like reading all these subtitles ]:< I'm emailing Adult swim and seeing if they are considering buying the liscence to air Naruto. I wanna hear the good stuff, as Sai is rather innapropriate but funny xD

Yeah. Sometimes that does get a bit irritating. Plus my eyes aren't that great either. Yeah, the first time I heard from Sai, he called Naruto a "d***less moron" or something like that. xD If the Shippudens were aired on Adult Swim,which isn't really meant for children in the first place,they could keep the cussing the Naruto fans have come to know and love,and not censor it out! I do like both. But I only watch subs if the tv is big or not too far away,my eyes don't comprehend stuff that's far away. It will be interesting to hear what Shippuden sounds like in English. That's one of the reasons I want to learn how to speak Japanese,then I don't have to read the subs.

Dub is only a synonym for fail.

In fact the root word "dub" means uncertain.
