You would rather subject other people to lethal tests over a cat just because it is cute and fuzzy? How disgusting. In animal testing, to keep suffering as minimal as possible, animals are put down after testing. You would subject yourself to being KILLED to save a cat? would you subject your parents to be KILLED over a cat? A farmed cat, who would not have been raised other then for this purpose? You would give your best friend to be infected with disease and then fed lethal drugs and then killed?

As I said before, how disgusting.

The Japanese in world war II took in war prisioners and tested bacteria on them, not for healing, but for chemical weapons. Also, even evil people who should die have human rights. There ARE innocent people on death row, you know.

I would NEVER think to own any fur! as for the chickens, we eat them, yes, but we don't torture them before they die, and putting a cat on lsd or whatever is torture. I use baking soda for toothpaste. but as for other personal heygenics, I use mouthwash, but it's alcohol. (i use listerine) and it is not made from cats. I use shampoo, but it's from Mary-kay, and Mary Kay doesn't animal test. when I used to eat fish, I made sure the can of tuna said 'Dolphin safe' and other seafood tasted gross! I don't own any leather either, and I never will. not even leather seats in the car. there's a difference between torture, and killing for survival. sure, we can go without meat, but if you kill it and eat it, then it is way better than torture. we don't eat death row inmates, we shoulld test them. a house cat is for company, not for torture.

Test them on people? That's outragous. Even if they do deserve to die what happened to no cruel or unusual punishment? I would say that would be both to a person who is going to die anyways. If you have to have written consent from the subjects on a middle school science fair you can not just force death row people to get tested on. Now THAT'S inhumane.

We ALL are going to die so with that mentality why do we just raise some people to test on? Yeah, what an idea! People who are against testing's kids get to go first.

Animal testing is fine when it's for important stuff like medicine research but experamental research like that is just wrong. Who CARES what a cat does when it's on LSD? Really.... One last thing I have to say: I'm not saying this to anyone in particular, but I really do dislike the whole "It's okay if they do it on rats and mice" thing. Yes, it's okay if it's important medicine research once again, but no if it's just experimental. Just because you might think a rat or mouse is ugly or gross, they are still animals and it is still cruel to abuse them. Rats are actually very intelligent animals that can be taught to do tricks like dogs, and they come when you call them, etc. Animal testing for medicine stuff is okay, but no, that video for example, was in my opinion, animal cruelty.

I am aware that rats and mice are just as important as other animals, but I would still rather have them be used instead or dogs or kitty cats.

 

I think animal testing should only be done when absolutely nessicary and when it is going to save human lives.

Animal testing is fine as long at it's testing a new kind of medicine or something. If it's too dangerous for humans, then they have to test it on animals. And as for that whole rat thing, rats and mice are animals just like dogs and cats. Just because you may like dogs and cats better than rats doesn't mean that testing everything on the mice is right.

Insulting people who don't think it's too bad isn't the best thing to do - If they don't agree with you then fine but there's no need to insult them.

I don't like animal testing and I would like it to stop if you read pyonchit's long post it shows that it's not what people think.

Whatever we do we need the animal testing for medicines and other things like that. If you had a baby and it needed some medicine because s/he had a bad chest infection would you like to give you baby the medicine without knowing the side effects or how much is ment to be used and risking your child's life when it could be prevented?

Animals have rights, they're not put on earth to be made into fur coats, meat or for testing.

I think the only reason you should kill animals is when you need to in order to survive like the Inuit and sometimes those poor people in Africa have to. I have nothing against killing animals for survival but killing them for stuff we don't need like for TESTING, FUR COATS and UN-NEEDED MEAT is wrong.

I'm vegetarian, a very strict one too, and I make sure the stuff I buy isn't tested on animals. I think it's horrible to even test on rats and mice. Call me gross but I love rats and mice, they have nice eyes.

It's cruel to breed and care for an animal for a few months so when it thinks it's at home and it has a nice family they're pinned down and given medicine or something and then getting killed, would you like that if your family did that to you??

Think of the one person you love the most. Now, imagine they now have to live with a disease that came from some shampoo or makeup that was not tested. Maybe they went blind or got an incurrable skin disease. If you had to choose between your loved one getting the disease or a couple of rats die, which would you choose?

Is it wrong, then, for animals to eat eachother? Eat or be eaten- of course not. So why is it some major wrongness that we eat animals?

I think that video was a fake and there is no need to cuss and threaten people. As you know this is a site with young children on and they don't want to see 'I'll kill you..blah blah' on a forum.

Think before you type because you post is very offensive. If you don't like animal testing there is no need to say things like that, as everyone has their own opinions.
