I found a video on YouTube... It was a man having an anaphylactic fit.

It showed him leaving home, At the hospital and Going home.

In the car his face was going numb, His chest was feeling tight and it was hard for him to beathe.

One of my friends has a sevre allergy to nuts and people throw nut shells at her. She has an Eip-pen in the office incase she accidently swallows any knid of nut or nut product.

I try to find out as much as I possibly can and this video really helped me. I also found one showing how to use and Epi-pen and it was very useful.

Now, I won't post the link because some people may find it frightening to see someone find it hard to breathe and all that.

My question is:

Does anyone on TamaTalk have an allergy, (Bad enough to have to use an Epi-pen) If so what is it to?

I don't have any allergies that I know of.

I don't have allergies, no.

What is an Epi-pen?

I've never heard about it.

Severe allergies if someone eats or comesw in contact with said food like peanuts for example, they could go into epileptic shock. The epi pen is a needle that one with such a severe allergy must take as soon as contact occurs. It prevents them going into shock long enough to get to the hospital safely.

Teachers at schools are usually required to learn how to emit one epi pen if there's students in the school with severe allergies to food or other stuff.

Actually an Epi-pen is just a brand name. "Epi" is short for epinephrine which is essentially adrenaline. Adrenaline works to reverse the physiological processes involved in an anaphylactic reaction.

Yes very much so. I have an allergy for dogs. If I live or stay with one more then 1 week then a start coughing badly and sneezing.

One of my ex boyfriends was allergic to peanuts, but, luckily, had never had a serious incident.

I'm not allergic to anything, but I do have a high intolerance to sunlight and high temperatures.

That's actually pretty mild than one kid in my class years ago. Couldn't have a long haired dog or else he will need to be ran to the hospital >_

I don't have any major allergies thank goodness ....

I am allergic to several different pollens - so I suffer with "Hayfever" from around mid May until the end of August - it's no fun having a blocked nose, runny, itchy eyes, nose, throat and wheezing all summer long (LOL - it's not particularly attractive either ;) )
