Eli felt stupid now. "...oh." He just kind of stood there, not wanting to make the situation more awkward.

Axel smiled, "Just think of me as fire, and then you'll like it better than rain. Because I know for a fact you like me better than rain, and I'm so much better looking than it."

"But you're not fire. Or else it'd hurt to hug you and I wouldn't do that anymore."

Eli dropped his crutches and rolled around in the grass. "Wheee! This is fun!"
