I had this problem too. I had a Ura-Togetchi but ut showed up as Shitekitchi. ^_^

the password determines everything on tamatown so...either the tamagotchi gave you the wrong password or you entered it wrong

it probably evolved when it left the screen... when you enter your logout pasword, see if it has changed... if not, i don't knnow what to tell you.

There are 2 possibilities;

You typed in the wrong password.

There is some sort of glitch happeneing with TamaTown.
