Check it out! A typical Tamagotchi log!
I've been actually excited about running a Tamagotchi recently, and I've been wanting to blog it! This will feature conversations between myself and fictional portrayals of the tamas I'm raising (with portraits drawn by yours truly - apologies to @anasmilkbar, I'm totally ripping you off), similar to my previous logs, so if you're not too interested you can easily skip forward.

I started it up a few days ago, continuing on from a previous generation (now on 4th). I'm currently raising Cabaret, a Kuromametchi! I unfortunately don't have photos on me at this point in time, oops. I'll list his stats:

I'm loving this so much, this log is awesome! I used to log in a similar style, what with the convos between my tamas and I, and this really took me back to all the hours I spent toiling on writing different adventures and scenarios for them.  ^_^  Well, except mine just used the different color text to differentiate characters rather than cute art.

I miss when this style of logging was super popular! So glad to see a current log using it, and so creatively too. Keep it up!

EDIT: I gotta admit... I'm kinda inspired to start up a Hapi Log (take 6) now. I just need the commitment, lol

It really means a whole ton that you're enjoying this log, as my entire motivating behind logging is to entertain - if my readers don't find much to enjoy, than neither do I. I checked out a few of your blogs, I remember when you were running take 5 and it was a really fun read! I think a long-awaited sequel is in order - only if you want to though haha! I too miss this kind of logging (though the forums were flooded with it back then, and I don't mind the typical blog style either!), as I grew up with it + based my (very) old logs on the same format, so I'm just trying my best to continue it   As long as you have fun logging, it's really unique attempting to build a 'world' around your small little virtual pets XD

Today is a bit more exciting - we have a new tama joining us! *distant sounds of 'yay'* It's my red-bubble-character-thingy V4, because I wanted to run another tama but my collection looks smaller and smaller everyday so I just stuck to what I knew ;w; I've also recently ordered a Japanese P2 (series 2) and English P2, both from Japan You Want, so I'm currently waiting for those in the mail at the time of writing this. As usual, pictures will be provided in a later, second post, so keep your eyes peeled!

Having just started my V4, I'm currently up to the toddler stage with Ziggy, a Harutchi! I'm hoping to go for either Zukyutchi (Mame Family) or Tosakatchi (Meme Family), though it looks likely to be Zukyutchi judging by Ziggy's skill pool. If all else fails, I'm going for Mametchi or Togetchi because they are good nostalgic bois.

Apologies for missing an update, I was totally busy! I've got photos this round, so don't worry about an extra post  I accidentally neglected poor Ziggy, let's hope he still evolves into one of the tamas I want! Cabaret still hasn't achieved pro debut, though he's getting better scores with the judges (2 out of 3 this time!).

Ziggy recently evolved! He's a Young Androtchi, meaning he has them good Mame genes. His Intelligence stat is the highest, so he'll probably evolve into Mametchi if I didn't screw up his care misses - knowing me I definitely did, and according to how the V4 works, I'm most likely to get Gozarutchi if I raise his Skill points any higher. Pyonchitchi is adorable (requires a total skill pool below 80 but still with good care ; but I don't think I'll be getting him anytime soon. Sorry Ziggy!! ;A;

Check it out! A quick update!

I've been a bit swamped recently, so I haven't planned out the next post too much -- for now I'll hold you guys over with some good news!

Ziggy on the V4 has evolved into Mametchi! Yeah, I wasn't expecting that - guess I didn't neglect him as bad as I thought. Hooray!

In other exciting news: Cabaret was offered a date by his band manager, but for some reason refused? Something about the date being 'an old friend of his', whatever that means. I'm sure that's not important foreshadowing or anything.

I don't have much else to say -- hope you're all doing okay! Whatever timezone you're in, make sure to get some sleep and take a break if you can!  That's all for now.

No photos today -- and no V6! I'm getting my new tamas tomorrow so I've decided to lighten the load (also I couldn't stop drawing portraits for Cabaret, send help). As such, the V6 will no longer have its own dedicated column. No worries, Cabaret's still gonna be here for this post.  In other news, I'm pretty excited! It's been almost two years(?) since I've recieved a new tama, and I've never owned a vintage (I have played one though! A P1, specifically), so this is gonna be sweet!!

Check it out! A typical Tamagotchi log! Aaaand it's finally happened! The P2s have arrived safe and sound from JPW - alongside a V4.5-era card (not pictured) that you can scan with... something, judging by the bar code on the back. Either way, with tabs nice and neat inside them--

--I ripped 'em straight out and got to hatching! I didn't realize that vintage tamas took a few minutes longer to hatch, and I got a bit scared when they weren't hatching (I'd previously set the clock), haha! But eventually they did, so that thought was quickly dashed away.

They both hatched into Shirobabytchi, the starting babb for the P2. I named the Japanese Tama Plum, and the English Tama Pea. I'll hold off drawing portraits for them until they're at least adults, because my hand doesn't deserve to be shattered at the joint much longer.

The both of them just evolved! Into Tonmarutchi, the only toddler last time I checked. No pictures though, I already took so many that didn't make it onto this log ;w;

Not too much to report today - it's been pretty quiet, even with the constant game(s) I've been having to play on my P2s. Needy little tamas, they are. They're also so much smaller than I thought, to the point where my V4 looks huge in comparison! I never noticed how thin the Connections were - even when they were side-by-side with my Colour Tamagotchis, which are (context for those who don't own them) huge in width.

Pea, alongside Plum, is doing just fine. Being a Tonmarutchi doesn't warrant much, from what I've seen. I'm planning to keep the P2's discipline at 50% for now - they'll still evolve into the good-care teen, but their discipline level will start at 0% as a teen -- meaning Mimitchi is unobtainable, meaning that I can get Pochitchi here and Nyatchi on the Japanese P2 without needing to purposefully neglect. Hopefully this works!

Pretty chill as well. An interesting tidbit: Plum's shell has squishier buttons than Pea's shell, which is interesting because the English model's buttons are vastly superior in every way. I'm not sure if the Japanese P2 Series 1 models (the pre-localised English P2s, for context) had squishy buttons as well, but considering the English version has harder buttons I'm inclined to believe Bandai decided to be a butt and torment me with buttons akin to the ones found on the Music Star/V6. It's not too big of an issue, though - nobody ever even told me the Vintages had button lag (I didn't ask but shhhhh). I'm never complaining about the Connections ever again.

It's been a hard day's night, and contrary to the source, I have not been working like a dog. In fact, today I did absolutely nothing and kept a good eye over the tamas. Speaking of which:

Last night was exciting - Ziggy (V4) has officially moved back to Tamagotchi Planet! Bye bye, space boy -- A bit anticlimactic, I know. In his place is Lucy, who I plan to raise into Violetchi - of the Meme type!

But first, I had to raise up her skill points - specifically, her Fashion/Sparkles/whatever fan nickname applies to the second skill category (Meme-fam genes), which is hard when both your parents are Mame type  but through the power of *gasp* time travel, I managed to restock the store over and over again to obtain food that would raise her Fashion points in a record amount of time. I had to avoid playing Jump Rope, as it had a higher chance of giving me Intelligence points -- of which I already had more than Fashion. Oops.

The previous night or two was very exciting! The P2s evolved into... Zuccitchi. The both of them. I was too careless!! ;A; Because I don't even have the proper screwdriver on me, for now I just shoved their tabs back in (still can't believe JPW provided the used English tama with one, amazing store!) and watched as their screens slowly faded away. Zuccitchi is super needy and I unfortunately don't have the time to look after two of them (right now, anyway). Sorry, Pea and Plum. At least they've safely returned to Tamagotchi Planet!

On a lighter note - Lucy evolved! And...

...She became Young Memetchi! Meaning she's got the Meme genes, meaning I can obtain Violetchi! Woop woop  ...And then it took me ages to update the log was because my cheap, IKEA-brand CR2032 batteries - that I found still sealed in a drama class storage room no less - were unacceptable according to my V4, and it died twice from new batteries. And it was running on one just fine with Ziggy! What did IKEA ever do to you?!
