Whether or not you give tamas a break/walk away is completely up to you. I reckon most people here, aside from the most devoted, diehard tama fans, have taken some time away from the responsibility of caring for their virtual pets; nobody will judge you for stepping back from tamas.

You got Maskutchi, who you obtain from getting 2 or more discipline misses with 0-2/3 care misses. They're about average in terms of health, but Maskutchi specifically gets a special evolution beyond the adult stage if you don't make any more discipline mistakes and get very few care misses...

I wouldn't worry about pausing your tama messing with the evolution process. AFAIK on the original models, if your tama is meant to evolve while you're paused it'll just evolve shortly after you set the correct time again.

I don't believe you can. The original models were completely self-contained and have no outside connectivity whatsoever. I just started another P2 run today and when I put the new battery in it fully reset as if I just bought the thing and took out the paper tab on the back.

Acrylic risers might be the best option for a larger collection, especially if shelf space is at a premium, though you'll have to find some way of keeping them upright on the risers. That's right! I got Mametchi up to Best Pals and have kept him around ever since. I'm planning to keep him going until he reaches age 100, at which point I'll be giving the Pix a bit of a break and switching back to my P2. That run will be logged from start to finish in a separate post!

I tend to gravitate toward alternative rock and similar genres as a whole, though as far as a favorite band goes it's a 3 way tie between Ween, R.E.M. and They Might Be Giants. Red Vox and Tally Hall are close in the ranking, too.
