For me, it must be the version 4, not just because it was my first Tamagotchi ever but also because the characters, items, and games are great. I love the school, job and mail features, and I like how you can sort of influence which adult you end up by trying to increase the right skill points. :)

I am sort of like this too; anticipating my Tamagotchi's evolutions is one of the most exciting things about running a Tamagotchi to me. But once there's going to be no more evolutions, it's not as exciting. However, when I get a character I really like, I do tend to keep them for a week or more.

I turned mine to Memetchi, Violetchi, and Ichigotchi dressed up for Halloween.

This may be odd but honestly, the Tamagotchi Corner Shop games. Particularly Corner Shop 2. They were a big part of me for so long and I feel special whenever I play them.
