Hello again Tamatalkers :)

I was with my mom at dinner, and she was interested in my log so I'm telling her about it and then she tells me that when my older brother was 4 he had a Tama and my mom would take care of it for him, and then she said she threw it in the trash and I'm like "YOU THREW IT AWAY?! THOSE GO FOR $100 ON EBAY!"

...Anyways, I told her she should pick one up, and she was like "No. Never again."

But, she was into Farmville for a while, which she said she would never do so I asked her how she got into that and she said I kept nagging her about it...

The point is, I am asking you guys for any tips on convincing her to pick up a Tama and play it again. Thanks in advance and sorry for extra details xD

Show her one of yours... A Viotletchi or Loveltchi. My mom likes them... But she only likes them when I make a huge deal about my tamas. She doesn't play with them, she just looks at my characters. Nothing more though.

Years ago was a different time... Back then every kid had one and was getting into trouble taking them to school. They were half the price. People were curious to the craze. Even my parents thought they were interesting. Not to mention they are more "Thought Insueing" now...But not really to us kids/young adults/etc (Tama, Nano and Giga)

What I did is show my mom my Tama's; my 2nd Gen. Lovelitchi and also all of the baby ones. I showed her how to take care of one and how needy the babies are, and talked about them non-stop. At the mealtimes, I talked about Tamas. When she drove me to school, I talked about Tamas. Even when we went to the library, I talked quietly about Tamas. Finally, she wanted to see what a Lovelitchi looks like, so I showed her my iD L (was Lovelitchi but married Mametchi today) and she thought it was cute. I then proceeded to show her my TamaTown room, and she began asking me how I got all those trophies. She got interested in TamaTown and then in logging Tamas in. Finally, I asked her to take care of my Tama-Go while I went to school, and she said yes! When I came back, my Chamametchi was married to Kuromametchi and a Nokotchi was bouncing around beside them. Since then, she's been volunteering to take care of my Tamas while I'm at school every day!

If she's like, afraid of Tamas and hates them, you can say "well that was X years ago, wasn't it? The Tamas were different then. The new versions are WAAAAAAAAAY better and easier to care for!" or something.

Huh... those are really good points! Thansk you guys!

Please keep posting, though! :)

I just asked my mom if she would like to care for one and she said sure, But to REALLY get you mom to like it is to show her how cute it is and point out the best unique features on it so she would get curious, tell her its an easier child to take care of Lol.

Tee hee, last nite my mum was fiddling with my TMGO and v5 and she had cleaned their poop and cured them from being sick!! And i was like this is creepy.......

Anyway my advice to you is to show your mum how cool tamas really are then show her how they work!! And maybe she will start to enjoy them!

Hope i helped

I think I just got my mom interested in Tamas! I decided to make a purple felt bag with some craft material she bought at the local craft store, and while I was sewing, I asked my mom to take care of a Tama which I had secretly reset so that if she killed it it wouldn't mean much. It was all beep, beep, beep! It got sick, pooped, and she got bad scores on games. Once I had finished on my bag, she slammed my V6 down on the table and said "That's enough!" with a scowl. I thought my plan wasn't working until she said "Destiny, that sewing is so neat! How did you get that good?" I replied "Mom, what do you think would be good to decorate it?" and pretended to think, even though I already knew. I said "I know! A Tama character". So I proceeded to cut out a white felt Lovelitchi, then do the bows and dress and finally a little silver ribbon to decorate the pale blue dress. I used two black beads for the eyes and a curve of pink felt for the mouth. When I was finished and had glued my Lovelitchi onto the bag, my mom said "Destiny! That's great!".

I don't know if my plan actually worked yet, but at least I have a little purple bag decorated with a cute felt Lovelitchi for my efforts!

P.S. My Tama didn't break when she slammed it down, phew.

Lovelitchi: That's good it didn't break! Hm... my mom's already helped me with tama beds and beanbag chairs and I've taught her who Violetchi is... maybe I should teach her more characters...

Sakura-san: I would so do that, except she won't pick one up... she's looked at my log but that's the farthest we've gotten...

Thank you guys so much :)
