Okay, would you like your say on what you would like in the TamaTown of v4? Come, post your ideas! How would the Tamagotchi "connect" to the computer? If there's passwords, how many digits, and is it all letters or numbers or a combination? What are the buildings in the TamaTown?
Here's my dream TamaTown:
You connect to the computer using the USB port and a cable.
Places in my Tamatown:
You "sign up" but only give a username and password, no personal details other than if you are 13 or over or not.
Your Shop and Other Users' Shops- you can sell your own items and buy from other people's shops. To choose an item to sell, you click 'Sell Item'. On the screen it says 'Choose item to sell' so on your Tamagotchi it goes to the items screen, press A to scroll through items, B to select. 'Sure?' will come up, so you can select yes or no. If you select no it returns you to the item screen, if you select yes your item is now in your shop! You can type in an amount of Gotchi Points you'd like to sell the item for. On the day you sell the item, you go to your shop till and type in an amount of Gotchi Points to withdraw. You can choose to withdraw to your user account or straight on to your Tamagotchi. There should also be buttons to "decorate" your shop, and a shop search feature. You could go to other people's shops and buy things from their shops. You could choose whether to put the item on your Tamagotchi or onto your user account. There could be features such as taxes so young children learn something about what adults have to put up with... lol... The regular shops that are owned by BanDai will remain (you know, like The Tama Beat and Forever Tamagotchi?).
Tamapedia- whenever you get a new character and connect to the computer it appears here. Your aim is to complete your Tamapedia. The Tamapedia could also feature some additional help for caring for a Tamagotchi. Not too extensive help, just quick tips. Like, keeping Tamagotchi's weight down. Something newbies SHOULD know. There could also be information on how to get a character after it's in your Tamapedia. So when a Mametchi is on your Tamapedia it tells you how to get one another time.
Graveyard- you've seen TamaTalk's graveyard and other graveyards, but figure this: what if you could just connect to the computer and it automatically transfers ALL the Tamagotchi's information onto the computer? You could choose it from your history list, so no making up data and putting it in the graveyard just so other users feel sorry for you. All you'll need to do is type a comment! You could also look at other users' graves.
School- you know the old TamaTown school? Nothing like that now! The Tamagotchi could learn out of school classes like dancing, swimming and music. You could link up to the computer and have your Tamagotchi learn that sort of thing. There could be 3 levels of dancing, swimming and music and they could affect your Tamagotchi's growth.
Game Center- needs revamping? I think so! There could be games like air hockey and whack-a-crocodile (you know that arcade game where crocodiles come out of 5 or 6 holes and you have to whack 'em) but under different Tamagotchi skins! Like instead of the hitting things in air hockey there could be like a Kuchipatchi clinging onto one, or being the actual hitting thing. The opposing character could be... hmm... a Sebiretchi?
Tamagotchi Facilities- there could be a Tamagotchi movie theater like there is now, but with more humour in the movies! Something like Tamatales (go to Site Map then General then The Library and then Tamagotchi Entertainment). The second episode I found funnier than the first but they were both good. Thanks Trickertreat for creating Tamatales! There could be a Tamagotchi Park and you could travel using the Tamagotchi Airline JAL to go to different Tamagotchi lands. The town hall could remain, and every now and then you could have a voting session for something. Like favourite character and the TamaTown rules. There could be a chat board for those who are 13 or over. The chat would be moderated by picked moderators, like on Tamatalk and on practically any chat board around the Internet. The moderators could be picked by users via a voting session at the town hall. There could be a Tamagotchi University, a Tamagotchi College and a Tamagotchi TAFE (or whatever TAFE is where you live, where I live TAFE is like a step down from university).
Extra things- there could be things like Tamagotchi RPGs and stuff, things that you're not expected to finish in a hurry but will keep people coming back to Tamatown. If BanDai got consent from Nintendo they could create "PokeGotchi" which is evidently just Pokemon under a new Tamagotchi-style skin.
