my 20 year old TV has been making these screeching noises when ever we turned it on for about 3-2 weeks now, but it would stop after a while.

so my dad was watching TV, and i was sitting here on the computer.

my dad had fallen asleep then the TV just turned off by itself (i thought he just turned it off).

the odd part was that it kept screeching even tho it was off and then it just popped and a bunch of smoke came out of one of the bottons.

so i yelled to my dad (who was still asleep) that it just blew up, and he freaked out becuase i was yelling and then saw it was the TV. then my mom came in and pulled the plug.

now it smells really bad. x.<

Ooo, cool! I mean >.< I like it when things blow up. But who doesn't? (lol, just kidding.) That's too bad :D But 20 years is a long time for a TV I guess. It was for the better ^.~

Awsome! But our TV is like 5 years old, and looks like its from 1980! Its a Samsung, what company made your TV?

Pics or it never happened.
Well it's not like it blew up our house.

The thing just popped and started smoking.

If you don't believe me, fine.

I'm not sure what company made it.

All I know is that my parents got it 20 years ago.

Pretty good TV if you ask me.

:p

Lol, sitting outside probably.

XP

TV heaven, lol.

Thats funny to think about.

A bunch of TVs floadting around on clouds, eating TV dinners, wearing white robes.

XD

Eating TV dinners, lol! The big screens mock the little 5-inch ones. The normal 30 inches stay out of it. The big huge 100 inch one (there actually is one, and when it dies) will be the dominator of all the TVs... The "TV King" of sorts.

that happened to my brother's tv 2 years ago. o.o'' I blew up smoke that smelled like burnt chicken. O.O'' weird...

~SG~

I'm afraid my grandparent's tv is going to blow up everytime I turn it on x.x'

I think it's around 25 years old.

Everytime you turn it on there's a really annoying buzzing sound and the picture takes a while to show up. The remote has to be warmed up before it works too xP

Our bigscreen downstairs is starting to go out. It randomly changed from color to black and white. It's not too bad but it gets annoying. It's only about 5 years old.

Just yesterday my tv went broken.Like when i turn it on at first there is this reeeealy loud eletric noise like something getting eletrocuted(sp?) Then after 2 times of that and we tried to open it again there was this faint eletric sound and it just wouldnt turn on any more.So now im tv less ><(i have another 10 year old tv but u cant watch much things on it)
