workless?

hi i have a question about jobs... well the mailman tamagotchi delivered a [!] box and when i clicked on it, a whole bunch of different job options showed up on my screen. but then i left my tamagotchi on the table for a bit and when i came back it wasn't there anymore! i tried to go back but it wouldnt let me. will i get another job offering one day or is my tamagotchi doomed to be workless forever?
