i said both b/c the old ones were soooo cool when i was 8-9. everyone had one it was great. the newer ones do do more than the older ones. so i'd have to say i like them all!!!

I still have an old one, but it needs batteries. The new ones are really cool, but I have a sentimental attachment to the old ones. Those are the Tamagotchis I'm familiar with.

The older ones were very... CLASSIC, and they had so many varieties.

New is awesome because there are actually items you can get! ^_~ Especially with Keitan!

I wasn't a fan of the old ones.I had them but I never really got attached the way I have my connection.Naming,pausing,mating,playing,praising the new tamagotchis are better in every concievable way.

In 1997 I had three virtual pets: a doggie, a Digimon tamagotchi and a 8 in 1 pet. I have great memories about them and still like the digimon a lot. But the new tamagotchis are better in my opinion. Especially the Keitai (yep, i'm nuts about that one) since it has got so many options. Also the animations in between like dancing and toothbrushing are a good contribution.

Well, i also think that the old ones have centermental value to me. When someone says Tamagotchi, i think of the old ones. But, the new ones areSO COOL!!!!

I was like 9/10 when the Tama craze first hit the US, and I will always love the vintage ones as a result. But the new ones are just... better. Except I don't really like the fact that they are larger, but you have to take the bad with the good. I don't have the luxury of connecting with other people because I'm a college student (Going for my RN) and most of my friends think it's too childish. So I walk alone when it comes to tamagotchis. Lol.
