will young debugged tamagotchis grow up?

I have a kinakomatchi that I got from debugging (yes I know I had a mimitchi but I wanted to raise one normally) and I was wondering if it will grow up or just stay a kinakomatchi all of it's life.

I've never tried debugging but everyone says they will grow.
