Will resetting tamagotchi P's delete the english patch?

Got a Blue tamagotchi P's off ebay with english patch already applied. Just wanted to know if I reset the tamagotchi, will the patch be uninstalled or it'll stay? I'm sure it stays but still wanted to confirm just in case it doesnt as it'll be a PITA to install the english patch myself

Congrats on a great purchase! Resetting won't delete the patch. There are separate files that you have to download and patch in a particular order to permanently remove the patch.

The tama is for my 10 yr old. Not sure how he found out such a thing exists (dang u google!) but he somehow did and demanded it as his birthday gift. Cost me about us $90 (including customs) from ebay. Recieved it today only and since he's totally new to this, he ended up making a few mistakes (wrong name, dob and otger details). Told him to play it for a couple of days just to figure things out and then we'll reset it and he can start afresh. Glad to know resetting it won't delete the patch.
