how come they dont sell tamagotchis in stores anymore? Back in the days when tamas were still popular in digital format, now it's in enhanced format with bright colors that you can see in the dark. why? how come? no more?

Unless you're not aware, Tamagotchi's popularity has completely diminished outside of Japan years ago.
The Connection series was not successful enough to bring back the original fad that it had once, and with the Tama-Go not being successful either, Bandai America has completely abandoned the brand.

The problem is that they aren't as popular as they one were, except in Japan due to their different culture. Because of this bandai has been forced to focus on other things that will bring in the money.
There is a chance they are working on something though. The tamatown website hints towards this, but no-one is sure yet. Smartphones have took over this meaning the extinction of tamagotchi may be closer than thought.
