why does my tama keep vanishing?

this is very confusing. each time my tama has a baby thru the matchmaker..the tama has a baby n whn it bcums 8 yrs old it jes vanishes whn he goes 2 bad...n next day i hav his new generation...is the life of a atama only 8 yrs???

iv read sum pplz pets b 15 20 days old...but thn y does mine go away...i alays keep up with the 4 hearts :'(

After Having a baby the mother leaves after 24 hours. Its just natural.

If you do not find a partner or rufuse the matchmaker, your tama will grow older, with good care it'll become an old timer. A wrinkley looking character lol I believe this happens at around 14. Never done it myself I have always mated

This is normal. After the baby is weaned, the parent goes back to TamaTown to live, leaving the baby in your care. If you want your Tamagotchi to get old in your care, don't mate it.

Here's what happens when it leaves the baby:

At mid-night of the second day* the parent will wake up and turn on the lights, but the baby will remain sleeping in bed. The parent will just stand there for about 3 minutes, then jump up and disappear off the screen. (The lights will turn off again, automatically.) When the baby wakes up in the morning, s/he will be alone.

(* example: if your Tamagotchi character mated and had a baby at 10:30 AM Thursday, then the parent will leave the baby at midnight as Friday becomes Saturday.)

Then don't let the matchmaker come, when it asks for love, say no each time and you tamagotchi will evolve into an oldie.
