Why cant i patch the english paaaatch :(

Im downloading the english patch. Its in my tamagotchi now but when i go to the destination it just shows two Japanese characters with an arrow pointing doooown. What should i doooooo? I want tooooooo patch my tamagotchi ps. Ples halp meeeeeeee

It might help if I show you the process of patching;

1. You beam the 1st patch to your tamagotchi and go to the destination. Then you install it, following the instructions on screen

2. You delete the 1st patch after installation is completed.

3. You beam the 2nd patch and go to the destination. You install it, following the instructions on screen.

4. You delete the 2nd patch after installation is completed.

5. You beam the 3rd patch and go to the destination. Install it.

6. Delete the destination after installation
