Why can't I go to New York?

Today I took my Tama to Tama Town. It had a ticket to New York, so I went to the Travel Centre and clicked on the New York brochure, and then the 'I'd like to go there' tab. But when I did so, it just came up with the pop-up saying that I needed a ticket as usual. This time I DID have a ticket. I even exited to check. I tried once more and it happened again! What's going on? ^_^

I have not used the ticket yet.

By the way, my Tamagotchi is an adult.

Your Tamagotchi must use the ticket on the Tamagotchi toy. Afterwards, you can see the postcard and collect the souvenir in the Travel Office on TamaTown.
