September 2008 Contest Winner
It's pretty much said Shippuden shall air in 2009.
But I was wondering, what is your opinion on who should air it? Toonami got cancelled, CN would BUTCHER it if given the oppurtunity, Nick wouldn't air it. Period.
I heard a lot of talk going around [adult swim] would air it. But some people are whining that [AS] won't air it.
What's you opinion? Here is my view.
Viz is doing a great job dubbing it, the voices are good. And they are going to dub Shippuden from what I heard.
-I believe it would do good on the 11:00-12:00 block. Why? Most younger kids are asleep by then, and meaning the "mature" audience will be able to watch without having to worry about horrible butchering. I mean the good stuff is always cut from Toonami because Parents are overprotective of there kids to show them "mature" content. Like how a bunch of parents got their buns in a knot when that blonde chick on Total Drama Island said crap. Which means Shippuden will be complained about a lot on parent forums by protective parents. Plus that would mean we may get to hear swearing, like on Inuyasha. It wasn't that bad, just uses of swearing and battle is what landed it on [AS] Which made me think Shippuden may be placed in the [AS] timeslot.
If [AS] got Shippuden, it would pretty much rule the Teenaged audience. Which means more moniez. Which may mean better anime on [AS] or better shows.
In short: Fanboys and Fangirls will be happy. Parents won't get pissy. [AS] rakes in big profits-
