I just found out why tamagotchi's sometimes don't want to play.
I have a V4.5 Tamagotchi, and currently have Ura Young Mametchi.
Now, he just doesn't want to play, but doesn't want to have meals either.
But he can have snacks....
If you go to the first icon on your tamagotchi, you can see how much they weigh.
Now my tamagotchi was 20lb, I fed him snacks until he was 26lb. (Every snack adds on 2lbs) and I was able to play 'Apples'. And every game you play loses 2lb (approx) So I was able to play three times until he was 20lb again. But be warned, feeding him too many snacks isn't good for your tamagotchi as it might get a toothache. Mine gets a toothache when it is fed up to 28lb.
So to get your tamagotchi to play:-
1.) feed it snacks until 26lb
2.) play games
3.) feed it snacks when it is 20lb
4.) repeat the cycle again and again.
Hope this helped!!
