What the the happened to my toddler? (P's)

So my Terupotchi was supposed to evolve at 2:30 PM but at 2:00 PM the battery ran out and for 45 minutes I couldn't get to change it and after I changed it in the end, I noticed she hasn't evolved for more than an hour after that. Why is that and what happened? Can anybody explain to me?

It won't download from the exact time the batteries died.

It'll be at the last internal save point. The save points can be when the tama woke up, when it last changed personality (I think) and when it last evolved. You'll notice the time will be way off. I think that relates to when it's downloaded from.

Your tama will evolve, it's nothing to worry about.
