What happens if you say no to Matchmaker?

I have 2 tamagotchi that I am taking care of. They both have reached the age of breeding and the Matchmaker has shown up both times. I said yes to fall in love both times but I am wondering if I could say no to a mate and then she will show up with another potential mate? I said yes to the first one she brought with her because I was afraid that I would not be able to get another generation if I said no.

Also - the babies I have are both dark, what level are they when the adult leaves?

The matchmaker comes between age 7 and 10 with a mate. If you say no to it the first time it will likely come again but you never know when it may come again so be careful when it comes to matchmaker.

And I'm pretty sure the adult stays one day (one year tama time) and then leaves.

As far as I know she shows up about three times. If you keep refusing her, you'll get one of the elder tamagotchis.

When the adult leaves your (male) babytchis will still be a baby, but will evolve in about an hour afterwards.
