So uhh, my sister and I were looking at my tamagotchi Friends, and noticed that the pixels seemed to leave a trace of them behind on the screen. This is plainly called Sticky Pixels and is quite normal on tamagotchi Friends. It basically means, if the Tama is moving around on the screen, and you can see traces of where it was before, you shouldent worry because it is normal. Hope this helped some of you confused Tama lovers out there! Thank you for reading,

Lucky cat

This is not a case of sticky/stuck pixels. Those are pixels that are literally stuck in one particular state, and it usually occurs on colour displays.

What this is is simply a normal artifact left by liquid-crystal displays that have slow response-times. ;) It's especially common in 1980s and 1990s dot-matrix LCDs.

Is it what's called "ghosting" as well?
Absolutely correct - "ghosting" is the term for display response-times that're slow enough to be visible to the human eye.

With today's advances in technology it comes up so infrequently nowadays that I barely ever think of the term anymore, so thanks very much for pointing it out. :D
