Well, yes. Tamas don't really breathe air, so they technically don't drown. But thanks for the info.

I didn't realize there was any question or rumor over tamagotchis and water. I just assumed that like most electronics, it would break.

Liquids=Water=Wet

Electricity+Liquids=No good

THEREFORE:

Tamagotchi+Water=Broken, not drowned.

Programming telling them to make them show a drowning animation = tamagotchi technically drowning.
