Was that a care miss?

My Sabosabotchi (on iD L) had 1 bowl of rice of hunger left, then she got sick. I cured her and then I noticed her hungry bar was empty. Did I give her a care miss?

Yes you did. My iD L often gets sick instead of getting a care miss and it still counts.

Another important thing to note, they won't always get sick when they have a care miss. If you ignore them for 15 minutes after they call, hearts will start floating around their head (similar to giving the V4 a love potion). That's also a care miss. So sickness and hearts are what you should look for.
