Depends on what kind of war you are thinking of and where it is happening.

Generally speaking, however, what's going on is that people are fighting and killing each other. That's what goes on in a war

In war, nothing much happens besides killing, dying and forcing more people, sometimes kids, to come.

I belive many wars are over dumb things, and if I could, I would stand in the middle of it all and scream... Then again, I don't plan on dying that soon, I love my country and I would die for it, just not over a dumb thing.

Pfft, guess not. Probably the government feels they're taking things too far over there and want to 'handle it'. That makes us an even bigger target for bombing, and thus an even BIGGER war.

Anyways, war sucks. I know if I killed/seen my friend being killed, I would go crazy, but it's insane how some people can handle that and get used to it.

War is a very complicated subject but you have to understand that war can be neccesary and even vital.

My personal definition of war would be: A conflict between two forces over one thing; a large series of battles or feuds.

You see, there are 3 types of people when it comes to war. Everyone fits into one of these 3 catigories.

Passivist: A person who hates war and doesn't want to have anything to do with it.

Most people would (honestly) say that they fit into this category. They think that all war is wrong and that it is nothing but senseless fighting. What they don't understand is that if someone were to live in a passivist country, than you would never be able to defend yourself from an attacking country. You would never be able to councure land and you could easily be taken over by a surrounding country.

Activist: A person who thinks that War is good for EVERYTHING. An example of a famous activist would be Adolf Hitler. They think that at even the slightest problems or just because of mear hunches that they should go into war. There are also certain indian tribes that followed the activist role such as the Osage indians of Arkansas.

Not many people would like to claim to be activists and they would probebly like to say that America or any other country that is currently in war is activist. The only reason many people think this way is because they're in a war and they don't know why because they'd rather complain that you do reaserch and find out. (please don't flame )

cercomstantial: This way is usually thought to be most reasonable, but not used often. Many people would like to say that they were in this category, even though they fit into another. Be a cercomstantial in war situations would mean that you would go to war, when you needed to. If you were trying to defend you country or to gain land would be good examples. to be cercomstantial, you would have to take a lot more things into consideration and a lot of thought is necessary. Unfortunitily, many people don't like to go through the thought process and go on the feel of the moment.

One more thing, I believe that America is currently at war because we are trying to protect our country. If anyone thinks otherwise, feel free to tell me.

I was preparing to type an entire response to this thread, but then I read temari sensei girl's post and I very much agree with it.

Almost no one besides sickos enjoy war...every normal person on this earth would prefer that war was not necessary. But, the problem is, we were told flat out that we would be attacked again, because the fanatics we are fighting feel we deserve it essentially for existing. These groups have said quite blatantly that they are NOT open to discussion, they will NOT change their opinions and actions just because we want to talk to them. What kind of people would we be if we stood back and did nothing as we are attacked and many lives are lost again?

They do not respect other lives. In turn, we have to protect ours.

It's annoying because the Americans have to pay loads of money for George Bush's stupid war and now Tony Blair decided to start picking on the Iraq people too so now we have to pay taxes even though alot of us want the war to STOP

But how much MORE would we have to pay for the damages done if we don't protect ourselves? A huge amount of money we lost in 9/11 but that is nothing compared hundreds of priceless lives lost.

I'm totaly in agreement with T_S_G and AH. It's sad, but sometimes it's nessicary.
