I loose homework sheets all the time too. x.x; Even a couple of weeks ago I got my first 'H' in the tracking book saying I didn't complete my homework; which I did, but couldn't find it (it ended up being in a different folder).
What I suggest is, is that you keep searching for it. If you still CANNOT find it, then when you go to art sit there quietly. If the teacher asks you to hand in your papers (this will only work if you hand them in, not if their collected), try bringing a blank piece of paper up to the front and place it on the pile. Hide it under a few other peoples papers, and then walk away. Hopefully your teacher saw you put
a paper in. After he marks them, more than likely he'll tell you he didn't get yours. If this is the case, say, "Well, I handed it in! Maybe it fell or something? I can do it again if your absoultly sure it's not there....." Ok, so maybe it's not the smartest plan but you know
Or.......
At the beginning of class, walk up to your teacher and say boldly with tons of self-confidence, "Excuse me, but I need to speak with you. When you gave us those two homework sheets. I placed them securley in a safe place for when I was ready to do them. But........they've gone missing. I've searched high and low searching; and even gave up computer and game time searching! Well, I couldn't find it. And I'd be happy to do it right here, or whenever. I can finish it during class, or at home. I just need the sheets! It will put my mind to rest. Ok?" Then take a deep breath and smile. Teachers make not always understand, but this is the more honest thing to do.
