Hello everyone ! *waves excitedly*

Finally I found a place that is still up to date and people 'help' eachother !!

I've 'just' gotten myself a tamagotchi connection for the FIRST time in my life. Before this, I always owned different colors of the 'second' best virtual pet in selling rates, dinkie dino.

Now I must have read atleast a dozen sites and FAQ pages but none of them had the answers I was looking for, I was wondering if you guys could answer them for me (since you guys have been tamagotchi owners for a long time now )

Okay then, without further due, here are my questions. Oh, and PLEASE do forgive me if they will sound TOO stupid. Like I said, this is the first time EVER I'm ever holding in my palms a little tamagotchi baby.

Q #1)How come my tamagotchi looks different than the ones I saw on the net? Mine's lime green with orange buttons and it says atamgotchi connection on top. (the same stamp that was on the box).

I don't think it's fake though since it DOES say Ban Dai and has proof of purchase numbers etc. Also it was $14.99

Q #2) How can I tell if I've bought either a Generation 1 or Generation 2 tamagotchies? I wanted Generation 2 so that I will have a chance at raising a mimitchi. Can someone let me know?

Q #3) I've just bought him yesterday so I don't know much, and the directions that come with the toy aren't that big of a help but here's another question. He got sick yesterday but when I clicked on the medicine icon, neither a needle nor a bottle with spoon appeared. He just simply became happy. Is this normal? and why doesn't it show on mine?

The same goes for praising. When I click on Praise, nothing happens. So I just assume he must have gotten praised. In dinkie dino, a hand would appear and caress the little dinosaur, is something like that supposed to happen with tamagotchi?

hello!.

Q1)there are hudreds of types of tamagotchi. the one on the net was just a randomly selected one!.

Q2) you cannot buy generations. your 1st tamagotchi is a generation 1. if it has a baby ... the baby will become generation 2. ok?.

Q3) 1. this is normal. it can takew several dosaes before it is well sometimes though. 2. only use praise when the tamagotchi is crying. that will cheer the tamagotchi up and give it one dicipline bar!.

Thanks for the answers I remember reading somewhere that there were two different adult stages divided into generations. Like generation 1 tamagotchis could have so and so adults, and generation 2 so and so forth.

Also you said praise him only when he cries, how do I know he cries? will he have a different look? I just for the first time now saw that he can even ROLL around in his screen Tama's are SO cool!!!

But I guess I'm still looking for the answer on why neither a needle or a bottle with spoon appears on my screen when i need to give medicine to my baby.

ok, no bottle ETC is supposed to appear for starters.

and when it cries, it will make a bleeping sound, the warning light will turn black and dots (tears) will come out of the tamagotchi's eyes!

Thank you very much I've been looking around the site while I was awaiting an answer from someone (you rock btw) I came across such talks as Tamagotchi Connection 2 ? What's this one? Will it have new games and adults? I just got my little one, I named her Toto. I think I'm already attached to her, how on earth can I leave her and buy a new upgraded version of a tamagotchi?

I remember reading that the adult stages of the tamagotchi were divided into two generations. For example, Generation 1 has according to my reading :

Egg/Babitchi/Marutchi/Tamatchi/Kuchitamachi/Mametchi/Ginjirotchi/Masukutchi/Kuchipatchi/Nyorotchi/Tarakotchi and Bill (secret character)

And Generation 2 has, according to my reading:

Egg/shirobabitchi/tonmoarutchi/tongaritchi/hashitamatchi/mimitchi/pochitchi/zukitchi/hashizotchi/takotchi/kusatchi/zachi (secret character)

So is this true? If so, how do I know which generation my tamagotchi is? I understand what you said about your tamagotchi being 1st generation and its babies being 2 and 3rd and so on, but that isn't my question my question's which character list does my tamagotchi possess? Generation 1 list? or Generation 2 list?

Ra! I'm not an elder, but I am an experienced Tama caretaker.

The character/generation relation does exist in Connection, but you've got it all wrong. Those are for the old version. For example, Mametchi is only in odd-numbered generations, while Mimitchi you can get in even-numbered ones. I'll get a list later. I guess all the other questions have been answered. From the way you describe it, I can tell that yours is not a fake.
