I'm new to TamaTalk (hi, all! :) )... and, somewhat new at Tamagotchi's. Just wondering why I have only been able to get a maximum of 2 training bars? I have 3 different V4.5 Tama's... too much to start with, I realize now. Whenever they want attention at an inappropriate time (have been fed, etc. etc.), I reprimand (or even praise them if the situation calls for it). I've never gotten more than 2 training bars regardless of what I do. I have had alot of characters since a couple of my Tama's have glitched up and had to be reset without the ability to "download". And 1, unfortunately, died. :) That was when I was a real *newbie* to this world. Now I can keep them from dying but I have had a couple become really old and kind of worthless when I didn't allow the matchmaker to give them a mate. :)

Any ideas how to get more training bars, anyone? (And what do more training bars do for the Tama's?)

Thanks.

Well when (I don't really now what you meen by reprimand them) But when your tama calls for you and all the happy and hungry hearts are full Don't praise them give them time out for calling for nothing.

Hope I helped TAMAGIRL2008

Hi, TamaGirll2008... well, by reprimand, I meant like punish or give them a time out. I think from your reply, I praise too much instead of time outs. When I don't know what to do, I won't praise them... I'll do the time out thing.

Thanks for your help. Still experimenting with these guys!

Also, if they face away from you, I believe time outs are necessary. In V2 and V1, I think catching them on the toilet raises training, though I see you have a V4.5.

Great... hadn't even noticed them turning away from me! I'd better "Pause" 2 of the 3 Tama's that I have and concentrate on it's behavior, huh? I seem to have bad luck catching them on the toilet. I walk away for just a little while, they poop. If I keep them with me at all times, they seem to never get on the toilet. Only caught them on toilet twice in the 6 weeks I've been raising them. Didn't think it mattered but now I'll try to pay attention if the training bars go up if I catch them in time.

Glad to get your advice. V4.5 might be similar in those ways to V1 and V2. We'll see!

Thanks,

Oops, Hyper... just noticed your quote about not pausing these little guys. Yikes! Will come up with another plan I guess (take battery out?). ;)

Better way (it keeps growth on) Sleep Mode! The way to do it is change the time to after it's bedtime-it only pauses for about 10 minutes.
