hey all,

i was just wondering how to raise the training meter for a tamagotchi..i've been reading a few posts and most peole have suggested the 'time out' or 'praise' function, but they only make my tamagotchi sad or has no effect.

plz help! my tamagotchi refuses to play games unless i feed it 2 snacks per game. it's getting really bloated and gets sick all the time.

thanks!

Hi, the praise/timeout button IS the key to raising training bars.

The very first bar of training you get will probably be when you have a baby, at some point during it's first hour it will start crying, you have to PRAISE it.

The rest of the training bars are slightly more random. As a toddler (the first 24hrs) it will probably beep for no reason, the attention meter (bottom right) will be lit up but your tama will look normal, So give it TIME-OUT. If you have another tama to connect with, try exchanging WRAPPED presents, if your tama refuses to give the present but gives a nasty present instead (poo, snake, nothing) and comes back with a smirk on it's face- you have to give it TIME OUT. Sometimes you can get 3 or 4 bars training in a row this way!

When it is a teenager, it will beep and turn it's back to you, it looks like it's angry with you, but you have to PRAISE it. It may also beep for no reason/cry.

So to recap.

CRYING=PRAISE

ANGRY=PRAISE

NOTHING WRONG=TIME OUT

NOT GIVING A WRAPPED PRESENT=TIME OUT

As for being underweight, feed it maximum meals after it has pooped, and try to keep it's weight up to at least 4 or 5lb above it's base weight, that way if it loses a happy heart, you can play a game to fill the heart rather than feed a snack. If you do manage to get your tama to sit on the toilet, that will also fill up to 2 empty happy hearts.

Hope this helps.
