The Tama Talent Show
CHAPTER 1
"Gwendolyn! Hurry up!" Jade shouted, Gwendolyn's best friend. They were walking to school together. It was a rainy day, and Gwendolyn tripped. "Ow!" She murmured. She picked up herself, and noticed a green peice of paper was stuck to her jacket. She looked at it. "TamaVille Talent Show" It was titled in big, bold letters. "Whats that?" Asked Jade. "I guess the city's having a talent show at our school" Gwendolyn replied. "Cool! That'll be so much fun!" Jade said, and grabbed the piece of paper. "Are you kidding? Jade, I can't even sing in front of my owner. How am I supposed to do something in front of tons of people?" Gwendolyn complained. "Ooh! Look here! It says you can do anything you want!You don't have to sing!" Jade said, pointing to the text under the title. Gwendolyn looked Jade. Jade grinned. Gwendolyn sighed. "Fine, i'll do it" She said. Later, at school, there was an assembly about the talent show. "The judges are looking for singers, dancers, musicians, and everything else that you would consider talent!" The prinicpal, Mr. Peters, announced. "The talent show auditions will be tomorrow. Go back to your classes" Mr. Peters said, and the students went back to their classrooms chatting about the talent show. "This is so exciting! What do you think I should do?" Jade exclaimed. "I don't know, whatever your good at, I guess" Gwendolyn replied. "Gwenny! I need help here!" Jade whined. Gwendolyn looked at Jade. "Hmm, why don't you do your ballet?" Gwendolyn suggested. Jade's face lit up. "Great idea! I'll start practicing tonight! Bye!" Jade said, heading to her class. Gwendolyn opened her locker, pulled out some books, and walked to her class. At the dinner table, Gwendolyn could barely eat. "Leonard, your teacher called" Gwendolyn's mother started. "She said you are improving in your art class. Very good". "Gwen, what did you do today?" Asked Gwendolyn's father. "Uh...well...we had an assembly about this talent show thing. Jade wants to do it, but i'm not sure if i'd like to" Gwendolyn explained. "It sounds like fun, you should totally join it, honey. But pick whats best for you" Her mother. That evening, Gwendolyn had a terrible night. Should she join the talent show, or not? If she didn't, would her parents be dissapointed? Would Jade hate her?...
