We haven't heard from Kate for a while - so I'll make a long chapter this time!
Hello. It's Kate again. Well, Tommy got his new iD L, and as before, he's been neglecting it. It's a girl, I heard, and she became Violetchi - the horrible care character. I think her name is Tricia (I got close enough once to hear her calling for help in Tamagotchi language, which is just beeps to humans), but I'm not sure. So, this morning, Tricia was wailing really loudly because Tommy hadn't fed her for ages, and she would probably starve to death soon. I knew I had to take action; Tommy was at school. I leaped out of my new home - an ill-used pencil case in one of the rooms - and ran to Tommy's room. I struggled up the leg of the same table I had sat on, helpless, like Tricia was now. "Quick!" I whispered. The starving Violetchi was shaking now, cowering in a corner of her room, obviously very ill. I quickly pushed a few buttons, and Tricia was off to hospital. There was no time to lose. While the injured Violetchi was at the hospital, I managed to pull off the back of the iD L. I wriggled past the batteries, pushed through the circuit boards, and found myself in Tricia's home. I took hold of a book and threw it at the window, smashing through and sending little shards of glass tinkling down on the desk. I ran to the Tama hospital, where Tricia had just finished a big meal and some games. I grabbed her, and before she could ask questions, we crashed through the window and out into safety. Still not pausing for breath and holding the terrified Violetchi still, I slid down the leg of the table. Tommy was coming. I got to my home using some movement between running and staggering from Tricia's weight, and we both lay in the pencil case, very quiet. I put Tricia down on the old rubber I use for a bed; she deserved a rest. But she had no chance of a nap, because just as I sunk down into my pencil sharpener chair, we heard Tommy scream.
Once Tommy's hysterics were over, I explained everything to Tricia. She said she understood, and promised me not to show herself and to stay in the pencil case at all times. She asked me what we could eat - scraps we grab from the kitchen floor at midnight. What we drink - thank goodness she was here now to help me turn on that stiff tap in the bathroom! Where we sleep - we hauled in a rubber to serve as Tricia's bed. What we did for entertainment - thought of plans to escape from the house and stop Tommy - and anyone else for that matter - from mistreating their Tamas. "Our plan", said Kate, "is to stop Tama abuse altogether. But we can't do this until we have more Tamas".
And Tamas were plentiful; Tommy's parents just kept getting him more. We got Emma the Memetchi, Sam the Gozarutchi, Connie the Lovelitchi, Rufus the Mametchi, Johnny the Kuchipatchi and Delia the Makiko before Tommy's parents just gave up. We found more pencil cases, eventually ending up with four, with two Tamas per pencil case. We had lots of fun together, but with eight of us, we couldn't stay hidden for long. And one day we did get caught. All of us were put to the test - and not all of us passed.
We were looking for scraps at midnight, and had a lot. It was Tricia's turn to carry them, but Rufus had his hands full too, because we found so much. Then, we heard footsteps. Of course, Tricia and Rufus dropped the food and ran to hide with the rest of us. But Tommy, whose footsteps we heard, was now seven, and was suspicious of the two piles of scraps on the floor. He managed to find us - I don't know how - and grabbed the weakest and smallest, Connie, and looked at her. However, Delia was a very quick thinker, and grabbed a kitched knife taht was lying on the floor for some reason. Johnny and Sam rushed to her help as she sharply prodded Tommy's foot. Tommy screamed and fell. Connie was sent flying, but luckily Tricia managed to catch her and with one swift movement, she got Connie standing up and we rushed to our hiding place. We all knew that Tommy's scream would have woken his parents for sure.
Sure enough, the parents came running in, and Tommy showed them his injury. When he told them the story, luckily they didn't believe him, buying us time to run back to our homes.
Now, it just so happened that after Tommy's shock, his parents said he could do and do some colouring. He came into our room - and opened mien and Tricia's pencil case. He grabbed us, squeezing us tight. By then, all of our friends were looking, wondering what to do. But quick-minded Delia thought of something - she darted along the table and screamed - a perfect imitation of Tommy's voice. His parents immediately came in and started yelling at him, and his hand slipped, letting Tricia and I free. We scampered back to our pencil cases, then
I can't say what happened. It was too horrible. But now Connie, Sam and Emma are gone. I can't say where. Please can you, Dazzmina, the writer typing this for me, say?
Okay. They scampered back to their pencil cases, then Tommy grabbed them, shaking them hard. He emptied them on the floor, them grabbed a few of them and took them into the kitchen. And nobody ever saw them again.
Now it's only five of us - me, Tricia, Rufus, Delia and Johnny - to go on our quest. But for now we just need a bit of a rest. See you soon.
