Wow, that's awesome! Well, when I was little, my two older sisters (by 2 and 5 years) had a Tamagotchi each. I'm not sure if they had a P1 or P2 because I didn't even really know what they were. I vaguely remember playing with it one time... Anyway, when V1's came out, I was old enough to have one, so my dad took me with my sisters to Toys R Us, and we each got one. I got Orange with Bursts, which I think was the first wave because as soon as my sisters found out they were re-releasing Tamagotchis, we had to get them when they first came out. And that's pretty much what started all of this. I also have a V2, V3, V4, Mini, and then I got over it for about a year or so. But when Music Stars came out, I had to have one. Then I got over that for a little while, and about two weeks ago, I started it up again and was hooked once more. This time around, it's even better; last week I ordered an Angelgotchi, which I've always wanted, and I'm waiting to get a white Tama-Go. So I'm gonna be with Tamagotchis for a while, and if I do "get over them", they'll definitely be back within no time :) .

The very first virtual pet that I had when I was little was actually a Nano Pet instead of a Tamagotchi. xD

It was right around the time that the P1s and P2s were out that I had my little Nano Pet. It was an orange Nano Kitty and I carried it everywhere and lost it all the time. For some reason, I never knew about Tamagotchi's, didn't even know they existed.

But that changed in 2004 when I got my first Connection. It was a Green Matrix V1, which I still have today (along with the Nano Kitty. xD) I remember losing the instructions and being absolutely clueless as to how to work it and what everything meant, but that little V1 sparked my interest in Tama's, and I've been collecting ever since. As of today, I have 29 Tamagotchis, and I'll most definitely continue my collection. :)

When I was about seven, I went over to my best friend's house. I noticed a tamagotchi v3 on her shelf, and BEGGED her to let me play with it. She refused.

Three years later when I was ten, she gave me it as a Christmas present. She said to me "I know that you've always wanted one, and I don't really play with it any more, so you can have it."

I was touched she remembered, though I hadn't been interested in Tamas at the time. My mom bought batteries, and the rest is history (in my log, that is).

I read an article in a magazine about them in 1997, and how they were taking the world by storm, and went to the mall to Toys R Us. They had a whole rack of them, plus a demonstration in the store. I bought my royal blue P2 and my turquoise P1 that day. The rest is history.
