Sarah sighed heavily and continued walking stiffly along the path. She wouldn't take her eyes off the floor at all.
"Sez, I'm sorry."
"I know. I know you're tense about the game."
I looked over at her for a split second, then looked back at the road. It was not busy, but not quiet either. I saw a red car start to turn down the road we had just come from. Suddenly it swerved and headed straight for us.
"SARAH! WATCH OUT!"
Sarah dived to the side with me, but the car just followed. I pulled her up and began running towards the speeding vehicle.
"What the heck are you doing Kiko!" she yelled at me.
" Don't worry! Just follow me!" I yelled back.
"On three, we jump on to the bonnet, and jump over the back!"
Sarah looked at me with a frightened look.
"One..."
"Two..."
"THREE!"
"Sez, I'm sorry."
