Well, the Devilgotchis started off being little tamagotchis who lived in a volcano with lava, the only one on the planet. They generally did stupid things for devilment such as squirting lava at each other or trying to make holes in rocks.
The Angelgotchis were the protectors of Tamagotchi and lived in the sky taking a watchful eye over "Tamaland". They were distributed over the planet so they could keep watch over the Umi nos and the Morinos, the P1, P2 and many other groups. There was a special group that watched over that volcano, called the King Yanalava volcano, the one where the Devilgotchis reigned supreme.
As you've already been told, they started off doing minor bad things that didn't pester any Tama, but as they grew older, the things they did got worse and worse and kept coming up with cruel ideas. The Angelgotchis decided they would put a stop to it when they heard the devilgotchi's latest idea: to shake the volcano so that it erupted and destroyed 79% of the Planet's surface.
One of the angels descended and told them to stop. The Devilgotchis didn't bother to listen and kept the angel as a hostage. As the rest of the Angels saw this, three more went down and decided to rescue the first but they were captured too and the devils put gags on them, that meant they couldn't eat or shout. They had to sit there all day and night in a dirty little devil cell so they got very ill and evolved into the worst characters and secret characters. In that King Yanalava surveillance group, there was only one angel left and in terror, couldn't stand the scene anymore and decided she would visit the TamaGod for help.
After thinking that, she flew off towards the East.
The angels that were kept hostage were actually saving Tamaland because the Devils knew that if they made the volcano erupt with the angels there the TamaGod would expell them for killing a Tamagotchi. Of course, if the angels weren't there they'd be killing Tamagotchi's equally but they'd be able to take control over the planet. If they were kicked out, bombarding the planet would be difficult so they decided they would wait till the angels died.
By the time the angel came back, the angels were four Unchi-Kuns which meant they were very lucky and could wish whatever they wanted. The TamaGod liberated the Unchi-Kuns and penalized the Devilgotchis for bad behaviour confiscating some of their powers. After that, from there to now, no more problems have been heard of from the devils.
By the way, would you like to know what wish the Unchi-Kuns made? They asked to protect the planet for ever and naturally, they were allowed to, but to finish honouring them, the TamaGod turned them each into Futagotenshis' the twin angels so the King Yanalava group increased from five angels to nine angels making work much easier.
