Adrianna and Alysia were not two ordinary twins. They had higher end autism which meant that they thought differently to everyone else. They made different choices, they were a bit more tactful, witty, less nieve and spent any time they had left after school writing stories (people without autism tend to play games like football). They loved stories, reading them and writing them. They were inspired by various different authors such as Lauren Child who wrote the famous Charlie and Lola. It was about a girl called Lola that was very awkward. For example, she detested most foods, hated to go to bed and had many irrational fears. Another author that inspired them was Francesca Simon. She wrote the popular Horrid Henry books about a child that never responded to any commands given to him. He was rude, arrogant, cocky and generally a real toad (what Francesca Simon refers to him as). Anyway, Adrianna and Alysia loved to write. They wanted their books to be as popular as 'The Chronicles of Narnia,' 'Harry Potter' and 'Goosebumps.' They wanted to make a name for themselves. One day when they were writing about an evil monster called Gobbo that didn't understand that killing people was not a kind thing to do, their friends Billie and Ella came to see them. The twins were writing their stories in a oval shaped treehouse in their back garden that had been built for them as a birthday present from their grandad a couple of years back. Little did they know that it would be the last time they would see their treehouse. Billie and Ella climbed up the wooden rickety steps (don't ask me how they got into that condition in so little time) and said hello.
